It’s so hard not to be superwoman these days. As women, especially black women, we have a tendency to try and do and save everything. But in the process of being superwoman, we often spread ourselves too thin.

We don’t take the time to do the things we should do for ourselves. We’re mothers, girlfriends, wives, sisters, counselors, teachers, lovers, fighters, mentors and man the list can go on for miles.

But sometimes superwoman gets tired. So what should superwoman do to relax?

Here are some simple tips to relax:

• Take a relaxing bath. Pour some bath salts, light some candles and curl up with a good book.

• Treat yourself to a good meal. Don’t wait on friends to check out that new restaurant. Do it alone and take time to yourself.

• Splurge! On a new pair of shoes, books (my vice) or jacket.

• Girls Night In! Invite your girls over for wine, finger foods & Gossip.

Treat Yourself!

Even Superwoman needed a break sometime. Take yours.
