OMG! It’s been so long between posts! School, work & life are keeping me from blogging. But I haven’t forgotten about you. I just have to find the time to nurture you the way I’m supposed to. With that out of the way, let’s get right to the subject at hand.
If you live in Chicago, then you’ve probably been paying attention to the fierce Mayoral election.
I mean the gloves have all came off at this point. The other day, Carol Moseley-Braun told candidate Dr. Patricia Van-Pelt Watkins that she was smoking crack for the last 20 years. Lawd!!
Yes. It is that serious. The sad truth is that while these women are going back and forth about ridiculousness, neither will win the election.
Sorry. The front runner Rahm Emanuel will most likely win the election. He has my vote & if I wasn’t voting for him, I would be voting for Miguel del Valle whose passion for the city is truly inspiring.
It’s also inspiring to see the city be so involved in this election. Mayor Daley has been the mayor of Chicago for as long as I can remember. Literally, he has been mayor since 1989; I was only 4 years old.
The City of Chicago needs help. Hopefully, our next Mayor can fix some of the problems that my city is facing.
